The Secret Paradise of the North of Ibiza
Portinatx is a small, modern village on the northern tip of the island of Ibiza. It is 30km from Ibiza town and the airport. It is an attractive village, with whitewashed, one or two-storey houses nestled among pine trees. They are set at different heights on the hills surrounding the beaches. Portinatx is a quiet area in a natural environment and away from the hustle and bustle of other larger towns on the island. It has three fine sandy beaches with crystal clear waters that are ideal for diving and snorkelling. The beaches of S’Arenal Gros and S’Arenal Petit form a horseshoe-shaped bay around Portinatx. Playa Porto, which is only 50 m from Apartamentos Nort, is located on the other side of one of the points.
Travel through olive and almond groves to the nearby village of Sant Joan de Labritja, where you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Stroll through the narrow cobbled streets with balconies full of colourful flower pots, reach the pretty 18th century church and have a refreshing drink in one of the restaurants in the square.
The capital of Ibiza is on the southern tip of the island, close to the airport. Ibiza is world famous for its nightlife. From Apartamentos Nort you can enjoy the tranquillity during the day and experience the nightlife in Ibiza’s nightclubs and bars.

There are a large number of hiking trails, some of which are also suitable for bicycle tours. There are paths along the cliffs to the west of Portinatx, where you can take in the magnificent views. Inland routes include a path to Sant Joan de Labritja and another to the cove D'en Serra. Apartamentos Nort has brochures about these trails.
There are many small beaches and coves in the northern part of Ibiza. These coves are only accessible by dirt roads and by yacht from the sea and are therefore not very frequented.
Located 3km west of Portinatx, this slightly coarser white sandy beach offers spectacular views of the rugged coastline. From here you can hike along the rocks and end up at the beach bar on the beach itself.
Located directly east of Cala Xarraca, it is smaller and very popular for rockfish fishing.
Very close to Cala S’Illot this small cove has some fishermen’s houses and a small kiosk. Here you can find total tranquillity.
Spectacular sandy cove 3 km east of Portinatx, accessible by a steep dirt road.
